Over 7,500 delegates are attending this year, making it one of the largest gatherings of global leaders, investors, and innovators. The summit provides a platform to discuss pressing issues such as artificial intelligence, sustainable energy, and inclusive economic growth, with a focus on translating ideas into actionable strategies for shared prosperity.
During the opening sessions, Saudi Arabia’s Investment Minister, Khaled al-Falih, stressed the need for the government and the Public Investment Fund (PIF) to scale back spending. He highlighted the importance of allowing the private sector to play a more significant role in driving the kingdom’s economic growth — a key goal of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative, which aims to diversify the economy and reduce dependence on oil revenues.
