About the Role
We are looking for a Corporate Communications & PR Lead to drive external communications, media relations, executive profiling, and agency management in the UAE. This role will strengthen Careem’s brand narrative, secure high-impact media coverage, and support strategic business priorities across verticals.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute external comms strategies for key announcements across business verticals.
Draft bilingual press releases, statements, and executive briefings.
Build and maintain strong UAE media relationships (English & Arabic).
Proactively pitch stories and secure high-quality media coverage.
Provide crisis communication support and strategic counsel.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure message consistency.
Identify executive speaking opportunities and prepare briefing materials.
Support leadership with media training and event preparation.
Manage award nominations and oversee event participation strategy.
Manage PR agency performance and ensure measurable results.
Produce and edit high-quality bilingual content for media and external platforms.
Maintain brand consistency and approve communications related to partnerships.
Build AI-assisted workflows to enhance productivity and content output.

Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
7+ years in corporate communications or public relations (agency background preferred).
Strong UAE media network and understanding of the regional media landscape.
Fluent in Arabic and English (written & spoken).
Experience in crisis & reputation management.
Proven experience managing PR agencies and senior stakeholder engagement.
Skilled in AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Google Gemini) to enhance communications workflows.
Highly adaptable, strategic thinker, and collaborative operator.
