LEAP's exhibitor material dates the 2027 edition to 12–15 April in Riyadh, putting the show back in the spring slot it used before the 2026 edition was moved to the end of August.

LEAP's exhibitor material dates the sixth edition to 12–15 April 2027 in Riyadh, returning the show to the spring slot it held before this year's edition was moved to the end of August. The 2026 show ran from 31 August to 3 September after organisers pushed it out of its original April dates . An April 2027 edition therefore compresses the gap between editions to roughly seven months, which has consequences for everyone who plans around the show: exhibitors that build custom stands, sponsors working to annual budget cycles, and companies that time product announcements to the event. Seven months is a short cycle for a stand of the size the larger exhibitors take at LEAP. A national pavilion or a full hardware demonstration build is typically commissioned six to nine months ahead, which means teams leaving Riyadh this week are already inside the planning window for the next one. It also means the 2027 edition will land before the twelve-month results of anything announced this week can be reported. April is the slot that made LEAP work commercially. It sits before the summer, ahead of Ramadan in some years and clear of it in others depending on the lunar calendar, and it avoids the period when Gulf business travel thins out. The late-August date this year put the show at the tail of the northern summer, when a portion of the international audience is only just back at work. Organisers have not published a comparison of attendance between the two slots, so whether the August date cost the show anything is not established. The date has been published through the channel that matters most to the people who need it first — the exhibitor sales pipeline — rather than through a full editions announcement. That is normal practice: floor space at an event of this size is sold in the weeks around the previous edition, when exhibitors have just seen the traffic and can decide whether to rebook. Beyond the dates, the organisers have not said what changes in 2027. This edition added a curated matchmaking programme and a content studio, and expanded the sports technology track; whether those become permanent fixtures or one-year experiments is the kind of thing that only becomes clear when the next floor plan is published. The venue is not in question. LEAP has grown into the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Centre at Malham, which was built for exhibitions of this footprint, and the 2026 edition filled it with 1,800 exhibiting brands across 16 stages . What the April date does signal is confidence that the disruption behind the 2026 move was specific to this year rather than structural. Events businesses do not return to a preferred slot unless they expect to be able to hold it. TechScoop is reporting from LEAP 2026 in Riyadh.
