About Lovable
Lovable is a Swedish software company whose platform lets people build websites and web applications by describing the features they want in plain language, with the system generating the code. Its integration with Supabase adds user log-in, databases, file storage and server functions, and in 2024 Tech.eu reported that it ran on customised language models from OpenAI and Anthropic.
The company was founded in Stockholm in 2023 by Anton Osika, a former chief technology officer of Depict.ai, and Fabian Hedin. Osika is chief executive. Its first product was called GPT Engineer, after an open-source coding tool whose command-line version had more than 52,000 GitHub stars; the company renamed it Lovable in December 2024 and dates its launch to November 2024.
Lovable reported $17 million in annual recurring revenue and 30,000 paying customers in February 2025, with a team of 15. By July 2025 it reported $75 million in ARR, more than 2.3 million active users, 180,000 paying subscribers and 45 staff, and later that month announced $100 million in ARR. TechScoop reported a $400 million run rate in February 2026, and in June 2026 the company said it had passed $500 million, a self-reported figure.
In May 2026 it invested in an $800,000 pre-seed round for Atech, a Danish startup applying the same approach to hardware prototyping.
Lovable raised a $7.5 million pre-seed round led by Hummingbird and byFounders in October 2024 and a $15 million round led by Creandum in February 2025. Accel led a $200 million Series A at a $1.8 billion valuation in July 2025, and CapitalG and Menlo Ventures led a $330 million Series B at $6.6 billion in December 2025.
In August 2026 it raised $400 million in a Series C led by Menlo Ventures and the EQT-managed Scaleup Europe Fund at a $13.3 billion valuation. The company said it would keep Stockholm as its centre while expanding in London, Boston, San Francisco and New York, and planned to grow to about 450 people that year.
