About Keeta

Keeta is the international food delivery brand of Meituan, a Chinese technology company that describes itself as a retail and technology business. It runs an on-demand delivery platform that connects customers with restaurants and delivery partners, and operates in Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Brazil.

Keeta debuted in Hong Kong in May 2023. Meituan was founded in March 2010 and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 20 September 2018. In the UAE the platform is run by general manager Lucas Xie, who is responsible for strategy, operations and expansion. Brazilian coverage names Tony Qiu as Keeta's chief executive.

Keeta entered Saudi Arabia in September 2024, expanded to 20 cities and was reported to rank among the top three delivery platforms there within a year. It launched in Doha, Qatar, on 19 August 2025 and in Kuwait in September 2025, its third Middle East market. It began operating in Dubai in September 2025 and reached all seven emirates within 90 days. Listed restaurant brands include Dunkin, Nando's, Wingstop and Papa Johns in the UAE and Jollibee in Qatar.

In May 2025 Meituan announced it would invest 1 billion US dollars in Brazil over five years and launch Keeta there. Keeta has operated in the São Paulo region since late 2025. In early 2026 it postponed its planned Rio de Janeiro launch, citing exclusivity contracts that restaurants had signed with rivals iFood and 99Food, and cut jobs in Rio. Keeta said it was keeping a plan to invest 5.6 billion reais in Brazil over five years.

In the UAE, Keeta worked with the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development and Dubai Chambers. At its first anniversary in September 2026 it reported more than 10,000 restaurant and merchant brands across over 40,000 locations, millions of customers and tens of millions of orders; these figures come from partner content. On 20 October 2026 it began its first Keeta Karnival campaign across the seven emirates, running from 15 to 31 October with discounts of up to 50 percent.
