Keeta has launched the first edition of Keeta Karnival across all seven emirates of the UAE. The campaign runs from 15 to 31 October 2026. It brings together thousands of restaurants, discounts of up to 50 percent, delivery promotions and some on-ground events. No exact restaurant count, no order-volume target and no marketing spend were disclosed. Keeta is an international on-demand food delivery platform. The Karnival is organised inside the app through a dedicated hub. Flash Deals offer selected items at AED 19 with free delivery, Monday to Friday between 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm. From 18 to 31 October, Keeta Week – The Karnival Edition offers 50 percent off the full menu, including promotional items, plus free delivery at participating restaurants. Keeta Drone extends the offers to selected service areas in Dubai Silicon Oasis. Customers using eligible Emirates Islamic Visa cards can save up to AED 20 until 1 November. Eligible orders above AED 100 placed between 15 October and 14 November enter a draw for a Jetour T2, with the winner announced on 16 November. On the ground, Keeta has a booth at Global Village in Dubai, Happiness Plaza 2, on the weekends of 16–18 and 23–25 October. The booth has games, voucher giveaways and restaurant sampling. Selected activities also appear in Abu Dhabi. The rest of the campaign is in-app and available in all seven emirates, subject to which restaurants choose to participate. For a restaurant owner in Sharjah or Ras Al Khaimah the useful distinction is between being listed and being promoted. The release says thousands of restaurants are joining. It does not say how many of those are in the smaller emirates, or whether the 50 percent discount is funded by Keeta, by the restaurant, or shared. A discount that the restaurant absorbs is a different commercial decision from one the platform subsidizes. The note does not separate the two. Delivery platforms in the UAE already run frequent promotions. A carnival that lasts two weeks and covers all emirates is a marketing calendar item. It is not a change in the underlying commission or delivery-fee structure. Lucas Xie, general manager of Keeta UAE, framed the campaign as a way for customers to explore more of the food scene and for restaurants to reach new customers. Those are the standard goals of a promotion. Whether the promotion produces incremental orders, or simply shifts existing orders into the discount window, is not measured in the release. The drone extension is limited to Silicon Oasis. The Global Village booth is limited to two weekends in Dubai. A customer in Fujairah or Umm Al Quwain sees the in-app offers if local restaurants have opted in. The national claim is true at the level of the app. It is narrower at the level of physical activations and of which restaurants actually discount. A further limit is the duration. The main window ends on 31 October. Some card discounts and the car draw extend into November. After that the standard pricing returns. A restaurant that cut prices for two weeks has a short period of higher visibility and a short period of lower margin. The release does not say whether Keeta is compensating restaurants for the discount or whether the restaurants are funding it themselves. That split determines whether the carnival is a platform investment or a restaurant cost. Competition in UAE food delivery is already dense. Talabat, Deliveroo and others run their own promotions. A first Karnival for Keeta is a way to stand out for two weeks. It does not change the number of riders on the road or the commission a restaurant pays in November. The measurable result will be the orders that arrived only because of the discount, not the orders that would have arrived anyway. No figure for average order value during the carnival, or for the share of orders that used the AED 19 deal, will be available until after 31 October. Until then the campaign is a set of offers and a set of dates. If Keeta publishes the number of participating restaurants by emirate and the incremental order volume after 31 October, the carnival has a result. If the next line is only another discount percentage, count the restaurants that actually reduced prices and the orders that would not have been placed without the promotion. The figure missing is both.
