Dubai-founded Enhance has raised 18.2 million dollars in equity and venture debt to accelerate its US expansion. Its GCC-built personal-training software already runs in 700-plus American gyms, a rare case of Gulf tech exported to the world's largest market.
Enhance US expansion funding of 18.2 million dollars backs one of the more unusual growth stories to come out of the Gulf, a homegrown software platform being exported into the world's largest gym market rather than an American product arriving in the region. Enhance, a Dubai-founded personal-training technology company, raised the round in a combination of equity and venture debt, with equity from the MENA venture capital firm Global Ventures and venture debt from the India-headquartered Stride Ventures. The capital will accelerate the company's push into the United States, where its GCC-built platform is already deployed at scale, and that direction of travel is exactly what makes the raise notable. What Enhance does explains why American gyms are adopting a product built in Dubai. Founded in 2018 by Tarek Mounir, the company describes itself as the operating system for personal training, providing enterprise software that helps gyms manage and grow their personal-training revenue, one of the most profitable but hardest-to-optimise parts of the fitness business. Its focus is the high-value, low-price gym segment, the affordable mass-market chains driving much of the industry's growth, and the results it claims are concrete. For mature gyms running its software, personal-training revenue can reach around 85,000 dollars per club per month, a compelling figure for operators whose margins depend on converting members into paying training clients. Enhance has grown revenue at a 65 percent compound annual rate since 2019, and it positions itself as an AI-native company blending technology with the human side of coaching. The US traction behind the raise is the heart of the story, because it represents a genuine milestone for Gulf software. Enhance has licensed its enterprise platform in the United States since January 2025, and it is now deployed across more than 700 clubs operated by major national chains including Crunch Fitness, one of America's largest, alongside In-Shape Family Fitness, UFC Gym and PureGym USA. That makes Enhance one of the first GCC-built software platforms to be exported and deployed at scale in the American market, a reversal of the usual pattern in which Western technology flows into the Gulf rather than the other way around. The company frames the US, as the world's largest gym market, as its centre of gravity, where its model generates the most value, and this funding is designed to press that advantage. The regional and strategic significance is twofold. Enhance retains deep Gulf roots, running the entire personal-training operation end-to-end for GymNation across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, and it operates in Qatar too, with Saudi Arabia its fastest-growing market outside the US and the place it sees more first-time formal fitness participants than anywhere else it operates. That GCC base is both a proving ground and a source of a genuine competitive moat, because every training session Enhance has supported over eight years is a data point on what makes trainers successful and why members stay or leave, an operational history rivals would need nearly a decade to rebuild and cannot simply buy with capital. The company's success also signals the growing maturity and export ambition of the Gulf's software sector, using a UAE base to build products that compete globally. The honest caveats are worth noting. The company did not disclose the split between equity and venture debt, the latter of which must be repaid and adds financial obligation, the US fitness-software market is competitive with entrenched incumbents, and scaling internationally is operationally demanding. But the Enhance US expansion funding is a genuinely encouraging story, and a Dubai-built platform winning major American gym chains and raising growth capital to expand further is exactly the kind of outbound success the Gulf's technology ecosystem has been working toward.
