About zypl.ai

zypl.ai is an artificial intelligence company that applies synthetic data to decision-making in financial services. Prosus describes it as headquartered at the DIFC AI Campus in Dubai, and Azizjon Azimi is its founder and chief executive. Most sources date its founding to 2021, although some databases give earlier years and a Dushanbe, Tajikistan address. It began selling in Central Asia in 2022. The company's core technology is zGAN, a generative model that produces outlier-focused synthetic data to improve predictive accuracy in volatile conditions, including stress tests of rare scenarios that are usually excluded from model training. zGAN sits inside Lucid, a no-code platform that lets financial institutions build their own models for credit decisioning, fraud detection and risk assessment. An earlier product, zypl.score, targets credit models for retail and SME portfolios. The pitch is aimed at a regulatory constraint that limits banks' access to real customer datasets. In February 2025 Prosus said it had onboarded more than 50 enterprise customers across 13 markets. In its March 2026 funding announcement the company reported serving more than 60 financial institutions in 20 markets. Named partners include Qatar National Bank and FINCA International, and Uzbekistan's UZCARD agreed a joint venture with the company called 1ziyo.ai. In March 2024 it partnered with UAE embedded-finance platform CredibleX on SME underwriting. Funding has come in stages. Wamda reports that it raised about USD 1.7 million in an oversubscribed pre-seed round. Commercial Bank International, a Dubai bank, led an investment in April 2024. Prosus Ventures led a USD 3 million pre-Series A in February 2025. In late March 2026 zypl.ai announced a USD 5.5 million bridge round; Wamda reported an USD 80 million valuation and Carbide Ventures as lead, with Shukhrat Ibragimov also investing. Carbide's general partner said the money would support entry into new markets and additional revenue streams. The company says the capital will go toward growth in key markets and the deployment of its synthetic data products for banks, including more advanced machine learning models for banking use cases. Coverage frames the raise against rising demand for privacy-preserving data in financial services and the UAE's positioning as a regional AI hub.
