About Ygii

Ygii is a Saudi gifting platform based in Riyadh. Consumers create an account, fill a wishlist with items they want or browse others' lists, and share it with friends and family so that gift-givers know what to buy. Dealroom adds that a giver can book an item from someone's wishlist anonymously.

The company also sells to businesses. Its site describes a Gifting-as-a-Service product for custom corporate gifts and event giveaways, which it says streamlines corporate gifting, and it publishes a blog and a corporate social responsibility page. The site describes the company as having started from the aim of making gifting easier and grown to serve both individuals and corporations.

Wamda reported in March 2023 that Ygii raised a pre-seed round led by Flat6Labs with a group of angel investors, naming Abdulkareem Aloumi and Ayman Alzamil as founders, with Aloumi as CEO. The round size was not stated in the article. CB Insights lists total funding of about $250,000, with the latest $120,000 raise dated October 2023, and gives a 2021 founding year, while Wamda points to 2022. The press release claimed 34 percent monthly user growth and operations in 50 countries; these are the company's own figures.

No funding rounds after 2023 were found.
