About Watheeq Capital
Watheeq Capital, whose registered name is Watheeq Financial Company, is a Saudi financial firm based in Riyadh. Its website describes Shariah-compliant financial and investment products and services in three areas: advisory management, asset management, covering investment portfolios, alternative investments and real estate funds, and banking and investment management. The site lists private equity, real estate and venture capital funds.
The company is a closed joint-stock company with capital of SAR 20 million. The Capital Market Authority (CMA) licensed it under number 32-18189 for advising, arranging, asset management and fund operation in the securities business, and the site calls it the first licensed investment management company fully owned by professional partners. Abdullah Al Muhareb is partner, chief executive and vice chairman, and his team page says he previously spent about five years at KASB Capital Group, led Watheeq Advisory as chief executive for three years and co-founded the real estate developer Manazel Modern Homes.
One of its vehicles, the Watheeq PropTech Venture Fund, took part in the pre-seed round of the Saudi proptech company Rize. In a company announcement, Watheeq said the fund partially exited Rize after Rize closed a SAR 132 million Series A led by Raed Ventures, at nearly four times the initial investment over 22 months, and that it kept its remaining stake. The announcement carries no date. A TechScoop article of 17 September 2026 lists Watheeq Financial, with Nama Ventures and Razam Investment, among the names on the cap table of Rise after its Series A of 35 million dollars in January 2025.
The site's news list shows that the CMA approved the public offering of units of the Wethaq Saudi Riyal Murabaha Fund on 12 March 2026, that Watheeq announced the Watheeq Educational Fund in January 2026, and that it was a platinum sponsor of the Real Estate Future Forum 2026.
