About WakeCap
WakeCap is a construction technology company that fits sensors into hard hats and sells software to track workers, equipment and site conditions. TechScoop calls it Riyadh-based. Its website calls the product a construction intelligence platform that joins six data sources into one knowledge graph feeding an Owner's Dashboard for safety, progress and productivity.
Hassan Albalawi and Ishita Sood founded the company in 2017, and Albalawi is chief executive. In 2018 Argaam described it as a start-up based in the UAE that had closed a 1.6 million dollar round, and Wamda reported Consolidated Contractors Company as an early backer. In April 2022 Wa'ed, the Saudi Aramco Entrepreneurship Centre, invested an undisclosed amount.
The website lists three live modules, Connected Workers, Equipment and Site Cameras, with Material, Project Documents and Construction Schedule marked as coming soon. It shows case studies with Saudi Aramco, BESIX and NEOM, and Wamda reports work on projects for Aramco, NEOM, Qiddiya and King Salman Park, with more than 150 million labor hours tracked as of November 2025. WakeCap lists offices in San Francisco, Al Khobar and Dubai, and states ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 certification.
WakeCap has grown through acquisitions. It bought Crews by Core, a Palo Alto field execution platform, in July 2024. In November 2025 it acquired Trackfy, a Brazilian workforce safety company, and made Brazil its Latin American hub. In June 2026 it acquired Frontline, a Singapore-based provider of AI planning software founded in 2021 by Luis Martinez and Ricky Ding. Terms were not disclosed for any of the deals.
The company announced a 28 million dollar Series A on 13 May 2025 at the Saudi-US Investment Forum. Wamda names UP.Partners as lead and Graphene Ventures as a participant, while a TechScoop report says Graphene Ventures led, so the lead is recorded as disputed. CB Insights also lists Seedra Ventures and Wa'ed Ventures among the investors.
Wamda reports WakeCap operations in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Japan and the United States, plus Brazil after the Trackfy deal, and says the Frontline purchase is meant to cover planning through site execution.
