About Udora
Udora, formerly known as Flowwow, is a Dubai-based online gifting marketplace. It connects buyers with local florists, confectioners and artisan sellers rather than holding inventory or fulfilling orders itself. The business was founded in 2014 in Yekaterinburg, Russia, by Slava Bogdan, Andrey Makeev and Artem Gambitsky, and began as a flower-sales service before widening into a general gifts marketplace. Slava Bogdan is chief executive. Flowwow announced plans to scale in the Middle East and North Africa from a Dubai office, with the UAE as its first market in the region. Wamda reported in 2022 that the company planned to invest USD 6 million in international scaling, team development and marketing. YesPress reported that the international business moved to the Udora brand in April 2026, while the Russian operation continues under the Flowwow name. The company says it now operates in more than 50 markets and 1,500 cities. In the UAE, every order placed on the platform in 2025 was fulfilled by a local SME, and the seller network there grew 66.5 percent over the year. Udora says it holds a 6 percent share of the UAE online gifting market, with USD 3.32 million in gross merchandise value in the country in 2025. Bogdan told Entrepreneur Middle East in April 2026 that the MENA region generates around one-third of group GMV. The company says its AI customer support bot resolves 41 percent of support queries autonomously, which it links to a 10.5 percent reduction in resolution time and a 92.4 percent positive review rate. Udora announced a USD 10 million private funding round alongside its relaunch under the new name. Coverage, including a Zawya press release and Entrepreneur Middle East, does not name the investors or the round stage. The company plans to launch in Saudi Arabia in the third quarter of 2026. The capital is earmarked for expanding the product catalogue and local seller partnerships in categories such as flowers, confectionery, bakery, perfume and home decor; for deeper localisation of search, payment methods, pricing and cultural occasions; and for AI-powered personalisation tools for product discovery and seller visibility. Udora projects 100 percent growth across its active markets in 2026.
