About Technopark Morocco

Technopark Morocco is a network of technology parks and business incubators in Morocco, operated by the Moroccan Information Technopark Company (MITC). Its website describes it as a structuring force for entrepreneurship in Morocco, supporting startups and small businesses with programmes, experts, mentors and workspaces.

Business Chief reported in May 2020 that the first park opened in Casablanca in 2001, followed by Rabat in 2012 and Tangier in 2015, and that MITC is jointly owned by the Moroccan public and private sectors. Its current website lists five Technopark sites, in Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier, Agadir and Essaouira, and the director general's message adds the Cite de l'innovation Souss-Massa, for six operational sites in total.

The website groups its services into support, events, workspace and community services, and highlights help with skills, financing, market access, training, networking and technology innovation, with partnerships involving universities, financial institutions and large companies. It targets companies in information and communication technology, green technology and cultural industries, according to Business Chief. The 2020 article also mentions the Maroc Numeric Fund, a public-private fund of about 10 million dollars, and Reseau Entreprendre Maroc as financing partners.

In the director general's message, Technopark states that it has supported 3,000 startups, 1,400 of them directly by MITC, and that its network has created more than 15,000 direct and indirect jobs. It reports 450 startups permanently in residence, full occupancy on its operational sites and an annual renewal rate of 30 percent. The same page says Driss Lemjaouri is director general and describes a move from a physical space towards a national growth platform covering incubation, acceleration, financing, talent, market access and internationalisation. His predecessor in 2020 was Lamiae Benmakhlouf.

Technopark says it is an active member of the International Association of Science Parks. A TechScoop article of 13 September 2026 notes that the startup Charikaty had come through Plug and Play and Technopark Morocco.
