About ShipBee
ShipBee is a logistics company based in Doha, Qatar, that runs a digital marketplace for shipping. Businesses and consumers book local and international deliveries through its website and mobile apps for iOS and Android, choose a vehicle from motorbikes to flatbed trucks, and follow the shipment live. The company also offers an Air Express option and software-as-a-service tools for businesses that manage shipping, and it describes the platform as AI-powered.
ShipBee was founded in March 2024 by Tamer Raafat, who is co-founder and chief executive, and Amer Azani, co-founder. It is registered in the Qatar Free Zones. Wamda reported in 2025 that it was incubated by the Qatar Development Bank mobility incubator and the Digital Incubation Center, and that it won the first QDB Innovation Hackathon for Mobility.
Wamda lists Snoonu, Qatar Post, DHL and the Chinese AI logistics company NEXX among its partners, together with local service providers and retailers. ShipBee's website shows the logos of DHL, Aramex, Qatar Post and SMSA as carriers without describing the arrangements, and names no customers.
In June 2025 ShipBee announced a pre-seed round of QAR 855,000, about $235,000, led by the Doha investor GrowthX with two angel investors. Wamda reported that the founders had also put in more than QAR 150,000 and that the round valued the company at about $1 million. In March 2026 the company closed a seed round of $500,000 from GrowthX Capital, which is led by Hamad Al-Hajri. Middle East AI News put total external funding at about $735,000.
According to coverage of the seed round, ShipBee plans to spend the money on technical infrastructure, hiring and AI tools such as real-time tracking, route planning and forecasting, and to scale operations across the GCC and Egypt.
