About Shaffra
Shaffra is an enterprise AI company, described in recent coverage as UAE-based, that was founded in 2023 by Alharith Alatawi and Alfred Manasseh. It provides an Enterprise AI Workforce Platform that lets organisations deploy what it calls Autonomous AI Teams, in effect AI-powered virtual employees that carry out business functions. Some reports in August 2026 also named Marc Wehbi among the founders. The company says its long-term aim is autonomous AI workforces covering customer service, sales, operations, human resources and project management. Its technology runs on a cognitive architecture it calls Subconscious AI, unveiled in a press release that described it as built to help agents retain context and memory, understand an organisation's workflows and operate continuously. Shaffra reports that its platform helped enterprises and governments save more than 2 million work hours per month in 2025, a company figure. It has also launched an AI Project Manager, described as an execution layer inside enterprise environments. Shaffra built its business first in the GCC, mainly in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, working with both enterprises and government entities. In August 2026 it opened a regional headquarters in Azerbaijan, its first expansion beyond the GCC and its entry into the Caspian region. The initial offerings there are an AI Call Center, an AI Sales Center and an AI Project Manager. The company intends to use the Azerbaijan office as a hub for wider expansion across the Caspian through new partnerships, noting that the country has around 200 startups. The expansion follows a funding round of more than USD 10 million. Coverage names telecom operators stc and Omantel among the backers, alongside other global technology investors. The round's stage, date and lead investor were not disclosed. Leadership includes Alatawi as chief executive and co-founder and Manasseh as chief operating officer and co-founder. The company is chaired by Sergey Kravchenko, an investor in Shaffra who is a former senior vice president and chief innovation officer of Boeing Global Services. Alatawi is a Bahraini entrepreneur, and earlier conference biographies place the company in Bahrain, while recent announcements and some earlier releases describe the business as UAE-based or Saudi-built. Autonomous enterprise AI agents are a crowded and still-developing category, and Shaffra is a young company.
