He was previously chief executive of the Social Development Bank for more than six years and held roles at Al Rajhi Bank and the Electronic Transactions Center, according to People Matters. The bank's executive leadership includes Homam Abdulaziz Hashem as deputy chief executive officer, with chief officers for business, SME lending, strategy and shared services.
A TechScoop article of 20 September 2026 lists Saudi SME Bank among names associated with the lending platform Abwab.ai and adds that presence on a partner list does not mean a live mandate.
