About Resemble AI
Resemble AI is a company that detects deepfake audio, video and images and also builds voice generation tools. Its detection platform is offered through a single API and can be deployed in the cloud, in a virtual private cloud, on premises or in air-gapped environments. Other products cover watermarking, identity registration, meeting protection and one-click detection in Microsoft Teams. Its models include DETECT-3B Omni, announced in 2025, and DETECT-World, launched in August 2026.
According to the company's about page, Resemble AI was founded in 2019 by Zohaib Ahmed and Saqib Muhammad, starting from a problem in gaming where voice production could not keep pace with studio release schedules. Work on generative voice gave it insight into spotting synthetic media, and it now focuses on detection. Ahmed is co-founder and chief executive. SiliconAngle gave 2018 as the founding year.
Its site lists integrations with contact-centre platforms such as Genesys, Five9 and Twilio, and meeting tools including Zoom and Webex. The company says a first-prize win at the T Challenge run by T-Mobile US and Deutsche Telekom in 2025 led to an ongoing partnership with both. Its trust centre states ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification and a completed SOC 2 Type II examination.
A July 2023 law-firm notice reported an $8 million Series A led by Javelin Venture Partners with Craft Ventures and Ubiquity Ventures. On 8 December 2025 Resemble AI announced a $13 million strategic round that took total venture funding to $25 million; investors named include Sony Innovation Fund, Okta Ventures, Google's AI Futures Fund, KDDI's Open Innovation Fund, Comcast Ventures, Taiwania Capital and Javelin. In March 2026 Wa'ed Ventures, the venture arm of Saudi Aramco, made a strategic investment of undisclosed size, which Wamda linked to expansion in Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East with cloud and on-premises deployment.
In 2026 the company won Best Technological Solution at the GASA Scam Fighter Awards for DETECT-World and the Best Technology Award at the Visual 1st Awards. It reports 99.5 percent audio accuracy for DETECT-World on a benchmark by Podonos.
