About Repixa
Repixa is a software startup built from Baghdad, Iraq, and incorporated in the United States, according to a TechScoop report of 10 September 2026. It sells to business-to-business software companies around the world rather than to customers in the Middle East and North Africa alone.
Salah Hasanain is its sole founder. The same report says he is hiring while he raises money, and it names no other team members.
Repixa's product is an AI demo agent called Laura. Instead of playing a recording or a cloned tour, Laura operates the live interface of a customer's software, clicks through it, answers questions aloud and changes course when a prospect asks something harder. A website visitor can start a demo session at once, without filling in a form or waiting for a calendar slot. Repixa uses Laura to sell Repixa itself. Human sales representatives still handle the close of a sale.
Hasanain reported that in early tests across hundreds of sessions, mainly with B2B software and AI-native companies, roughly 6 to 11 percent of site visitors started a demo. He contrasted this with about 1 percent of visitors who book a human call in a conventional inbound flow. TechScoop noted that the figures are self-reported and unaudited and measure demo starts rather than closed sales. The report named no customers and no revenue.
On security, Repixa says it isolates environments, limits the actions the agent can take and complies with the GDPR. It says it is working toward a SOC 2 Type I report. TechScoop noted that computer-use agents can still fail on messy production interfaces and that security reviews are a hurdle for products of this kind.
Repixa is raising a pre-seed round of USD 500,000. It is in talks with angel investors and venture capital firms and has named no investors. Hasanain wants backers with experience in agentic systems and global software sales. The money would go to the control layer that governs the agent, to more commercial proof and to a first full team. As of 10 September 2026 the round had not been announced as closed.
