About Qureos
Qureos is a hiring platform based in the United Arab Emirates that uses artificial intelligence to automate recruitment. Its assistant, Iris, is offered to employers and recruitment agencies and handles sourcing, screening and interviewing. A second assistant on the candidate side matches individuals to roles and explains why they fit.
Wamda reports that Qureos was founded in 2020 by Alexander Epure and Usama Nini, while Forbes Middle East dates the company to 2022. In coverage of its February 2026 funding, Epure is named as co-founder and chief executive, and Nini is named as a co-founder. Forbes Middle East included Nini in its 30 Under 30 2024 list for science and technology in January 2025.
According to the funding announcement, Iris distributes job roles to more than 2,000 job boards as well as social and direct channels, enriches candidate profiles with publicly available information and prediction models, screens profiles against role requirements in under 15 seconds, and runs audio or video interviews led by AI and adapted to each role. The platform can connect to existing applicant tracking and human resources systems or be used on its own, and CairoScene lists SAP SuccessFactors and Oracle among the integrations.
Wamda says the platform is used by teams at more than 1,000 enterprise and public sector organisations, including Qatar Airways, Dubai Economy and Tourism, BAAN Holdings and Union Properties. The company states that it can cut time to hire from several months to as little as six days for enterprise clients.
Wamda reports that Qureos closed a USD 3 million pre-seed round in 2022 led by COTU Ventures and Colle Capital. On 4 February 2026 it announced a USD 5 million seed round co-led by Prosus Ventures and Salica Oryx Fund, with Oraseya Capital, PlusVC, F6 Ventures, BDev Ventures, Sunny Side Venture Partners and Daniel Tyre, an early HubSpot executive, joining, and existing investors COTU Ventures and Globivest also taking part.
The company says it will use the new capital to develop its AI capabilities, expand its go-to-market team and grow geographically through enterprise and agency partnerships.
