About Mubadala Capital

Mubadala Capital is the asset management arm of Mubadala Investment Company, the Abu Dhabi sovereign investor. It invests across the capital structure in private and public securities and raises capital from institutional investors for its funds alongside Mubadala's own balance sheet. In July 2026 it launched a tokenized version of one of its private markets funds, the Alternative Solutions Fund, branded MCAS-TA. The product went live on 23 July 2026 on three blockchains at once: Base, Solana and Sui. KAIO, a UAE-based tokenization firm that partnered with Mubadala Capital in December 2025, supplied the infrastructure, including compliance and distribution. KAIO's announcement put onchain value at launch at about USD 75 million, and other outlets described the figure as commitments from traditional asset managers and digital asset investors. The offering is limited to qualified institutional and accredited investors in certain jurisdictions. Coinbase took exposure to the fund, which Solana Compass described as a direct investment. KAIO has also run tokenized offerings for managers such as BlackRock, Hamilton Lane and Brevan Howard. The firm has been active in conventional deals as well. In February 2026 it agreed, in partnership with TWG Global, to acquire the New York-listed outdoor advertising company Clear Channel Outdoor in an all-cash take-private at an enterprise value of USD 6.2 billion, at USD 2.43 a share, a 71 percent premium to the unaffected price. Closing was expected by the end of the third quarter of 2026, subject to approvals, with about USD 3 billion of equity committed. On fundraising, Mubadala Capital has reported closing its Private Equity Fund IV at USD 3.1 billion, more than USD 1 billion above its target, and in April 2026 the final close of its third Brazil special situations fund at USD 900 million, which included USD 250 million of anchor capital from Mubadala Capital itself with the remainder from international pension funds, family offices and private capital investors. Mubadala Capital sits within a group that reported assets under management of about USD 385 billion at the end of 2025, according to Arab News.
