Maher Bilal is Missan's board chairman. In July 2026 he presented the Missan Logistics Opportunities Fund, a SAR 650 million (about USD 173 million) investment vehicle to develop a logistics city north of Jeddah. Sharikat Mubasher described it as the first logistics investment fund in Saudi Arabia, while Aleqtisadiah called it the first investment fund for logistics services in western Saudi Arabia. The fund was launched after agreements with two strategic partners: ANSAB, the contractor responsible for infrastructure works across the project's three phases, and FAAD Partners, described as a financial company.
The city is planned on about 320,000 square meters in the Al-Kawthar area, south of Al-Hamdaniyah. Development is expected to take about 18 months, with main infrastructure works completed in 12 to 18 months, after which serviced logistics plots will be offered for sale based on market studies. Launch is targeted for the end of 2027.
Missan says the project would meet about 5 percent of Jeddah's warehouse market needs. Bilal cited warehouse occupancy in Jeddah of 97 percent in 2024, across roughly 18 million square meters of space, and annual market growth of 4.8 percent.
The articles read do not give the fund's structure, manager or the split of the SAR 650 million among partners, and no regulator is named. Missan's ownership, size and financial results are not published on the pages read.
