About Lumitics
Lumitics develops food-waste measurement technology for commercial kitchens. Its system combines image recognition, artificial intelligence and data analysis to identify discarded food and give chefs a clearer picture of what is being thrown away. The information helps kitchen teams adjust preparation, purchasing and menus around actual waste patterns rather than relying only on occasional manual checks.
The company was built around fitting measurement into an existing kitchen workflow. It serves hospitality and foodservice settings where many meals are prepared each day and losses can be difficult to monitor consistently. Rayner Loi and Adriel Tan are co-founders, with Loi leading the business and Tan leading its technology. The Singapore company expanded across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.
In July 2026, Winnow announced its acquisition of Lumitics. The announcement described deployments in more than twenty countries and said service would continue while customers moved gradually to Winnow's platform and hardware. The transaction brought Lumitics' regional operations and customer relationships into a larger food-waste technology group. Its history therefore includes both an independent operating business and a subsequent role within Winnow's hospitality offering.
