About Light
Light (لايت) is a Saudi software company that sells a digital signage service, positioned mainly around digital menu boards for restaurants and cafes. Customers enter their items and prices once, choose a template, and the screen renders the menu and updates when a price changes. Its website describes the product as made in Saudi Arabia.
Setup is self-service. A business registers with an email and password, installs the Light app on any Android TV device it already owns, enters the code shown on the screen, and then uploads menus, images or videos from a phone. The company says content is stored on the device so screens keep playing when the internet connection drops and sync once it returns, and that no hardware purchase is required. The dashboard, templates and support are built in Arabic, right-to-left, rather than translated from English.
The site lists more than 150 ready-made templates for restaurants, shops, offers, events and Ramadan, and says items that sell out are removed from the screen automatically. Light also targets hotels, schools, hospitals, offices, gyms and mosques. It offers a free one-month trial without a card, and its prices are quoted exclusive of VAT. Customers named on the site include Alliwan, Hashosh, Pasta de Rome, Pasta Lab, Raseef and Vekt Cafe.
A partner programme invites screen manufacturers, device makers, technology platforms that integrate through an API, and distributors or AV integrators, with benefits such as a partner portal, co-marketing, technical support, a dedicated partner manager and referral commissions.
