About Labby

Labby is a Damascus-based technology company building a consumer super app for Syria. Reports describe an app that combines ride hailing, food delivery, e-commerce, digital payments and other on-demand services in one place. Its website, available in Arabic and English, presents a ride service for Damascus only and is marked as launching soon, with a Google Play download link.

Labby was founded in 2024 by Mohammad Fawaz, who is named as the founder in Wamda, Enterprise and Renascence coverage; none of them gives his title. Labby's website does not name a team, an address or a legal entity.

According to the website, a rider sets a pickup point and destination, sees the fare before booking and chooses between an Economy and a Comfort ride. The app lets riders track the car, share a trip in real time and pay in cash or with the Labby wallet. The site advertises a discount on a new rider's first five rides. A Drive with Labby programme recruits drivers who choose their own hours, receive weekly payouts and a fuel-support allowance, and can earn a launch bonus; sign-up requires a driver's licence and vehicle papers.

In July 2026 Labby announced USD 10 million in investment from a consortium of investors based in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Wamda reported the news on 22 July 2026. The investors have not been named. TechScoop reported that the agreement was signed in Damascus at a ceremony hosted by Syria's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and that Syrian officials described it as the first direct foreign investment in a Syrian technology startup. Wamda said the money is intended for product development, technology infrastructure, expanding digital services across the Syrian market and hiring.

Enterprise reported in August 2026 that the round was labelled a seed, while a MAGNiTT analyst said its size was closer to a Series A by regional standards, and that the backers are likely to be angel or family investors who may be named later. No user numbers or revenue have been disclosed.
