About KBN Holding Group

KBN Holding Group is a privately held investment group based in Doha, Qatar. It describes itself as a diversified group with a presence in real estate development, hospitality, infrastructure, healthcare and technology-related sectors. LinkedIn gives its address as Al Sadd, Zone 38, in Doha, lists facilities management and real estate as its specialties, and gives 2020 as its founding year; the page also refers to decades of expertise, so the year is uncertain.

Sheikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al Thani is chairman. In February 2026 he said KBN was moving from a traditional asset-focused firm towards a technology-driven one, and the group says technology and innovation are a core priority in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.

On 1 February 2026 KBN and Hong Kong's Lai Sun Group announced a strategic partnership to launch a cross-border investment platform. It is meant to help Chinese technology companies enter Gulf markets through Qatar, with a focus on technology, media and telecom, including artificial intelligence, cloud and fintech, and on healthcare. The partners offer capital investment, help with market access and localisation, and business matching. Lai Sun is a diversified group with property, hospitality, media and entertainment, and alternative investment businesses, chaired by Dr. Peter Lam. The platform's first investment was Kyligence, a Chinese enterprise data and artificial intelligence company that has raised more than 100 million US dollars from investors including Shunwei Capital.

TechScoop reported in July 2026 that KBN Holding Group was among the backers of the 4 million US dollar Series A round of SkipCash, a Qatari payments company, alongside Qatar Development Bank, Qatar Islamic Insurance Company, Finjan Venture Investments and Doha Tech Angels.
