About IB Ventures

IB Ventures is a venture capital firm headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, that invests in biotechnology companies. Sharikat Mubasher, citing an official statement, gives the full name as Integrated Bio (IB) Ventures and reported on 16 October 2025 that the firm had launched officially in Riyadh as Saudi Arabia's first dedicated biotech venture capital fund.

The firm launched with a fund of USD 50 million. Bridge Middle East reported that the aim is to speed up life sciences start-ups and to attract international biotech companies to the Kingdom, and that the model combines venture funding with an in-house incubator and accelerator covering business development, commercialisation, scale-up and exit. Enterprise listed the focus areas as therapeutics, diagnostics, digital biology and bio-manufacturing, and linked the fund to Saudi Arabia's National Biotechnology Strategy and to Vision 2030.

Yazeed Alsufyani is general partner and chief executive. Hamad Al-Omar is described as a co-founder, and Faisal Al-Abdulsalam is also named as a co-founder by Bioxconomy. Sharikat Mubasher lists four general partners who attended the launch: Al-Abdulsalam, Al-Omar, Alsufyani and Mohammed Alangari. Coverage of the founders differs: Bridge Middle East names Al Omar and Al Sufyani as the founders, while Bioxconomy adds Al-Abdulsalam.

Bridge Middle East reported that IB Ventures has offices in Switzerland and the United States, while Bioxconomy and Enterprise describe the US and Swiss offices as planned, and Enterprise said the firm would work with global research partners there. Bioxconomy reported on 7 November 2025 that the launch was announced at the BIO-Europe conference in Vienna, where Alsufyani said he founded the firm to connect infrastructure, capital and policy.

No limited partners, co-investors or portfolio companies were named in the coverage read. A TechScoop article of 17 September 2026 mentions IB Ventures among biotechnology companies on the shopping list of Sarat, the investment company.
