About Herfy Food Services

Herfy Food Services Company is a Saudi fast-food and food-manufacturing group headquartered in Riyadh, in the Al Morooj district. Mubasher records its establishment date as 3 March 1981, and its shares have traded on the Saudi Exchange under the ticker 6002 since February 2010.

TechScoop describes a vertically integrated business that combines fast-food outlets, bakeries, sweets and chocolate shops, three bakery factories and a meat-processing plant. Market-data profiles list its segments as restaurants, a meat factory and bakeries, and say it also supplies cooked meals and catering.

Savola Group is the largest shareholder with 49 percent, and Ahmed Al Saeed holds 15.30 percent, according to Mubasher and Argaam. Moataz Al Azzawi has chaired the board since the board term that began on 1 May 2021, and Isam Al Muhaidib is listed as deputy chairman. In April 2021 the board accepted the resignation of the then chief executive, and Khalid Al Saeed, previously chief executive for operations and production, became acting chief executive from 1 May 2021. Shareholders did not approve removing Al Azzawi as chairman in March 2022 or at a general meeting on 4 November 2024, the latter called at the request of Ahmed Al Saeed. A market-data profile lists Mohammad Lotfy Al Bargothy as chief executive, but no dated announcement was found.

Herfy has reported losses in recent years. TechScoop, citing company statements, reports a net loss of SAR 77.47 million for 2025, narrowed by 33.5 percent from SAR 116.52 million in 2024, on revenue of around SAR 1 billion. For the first quarter of 2026 the loss was SAR 3.91 million against SAR 18.6 million a year earlier, and first-half 2026 revenue was about SAR 515.6 million, down roughly 6.8 percent from SAR 553.1 million. The company attributed the narrower losses to lower cost of sales, lower selling and marketing expenses, lower finance costs, smaller impairment provisions, lower zakat and higher other income.

As of August 2026, Herfy remains listed in Riyadh and competes with international chains and newer local and regional concepts in the Saudi fast-food market.
