About Hassan Allam Holding
Hassan Allam Holding is an Egyptian engineering, construction and investment group headquartered in Cairo. The group says it has about 50,000 employees and operates in more than 10 countries.
The group dates itself to 1936, when Hassan Allam registered his first firm, Hassan Mohammed Allam & Co., after working as an informal contractor from 1923. According to the company, the business was nationalised in 1964 and operated as Nasr General Contracting, and Hassan Allam Sons was set up in 1975. Its management page lists Hassan Allam as Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and Amr Allam as Group Co-Chief Executive Officer.
Subsidiaries named on the website include Hassan Allam Construction, Hassan Allam Utilities, Kortech, Eden, Jinet, PGESCo, Intech and 3S Ready Mix Concrete. Projects it lists include the Benban solar plant in Aswan, port infrastructure at Safaga for AD Ports Group's Noatum Ports, and a hotel on Egypt's North Coast for Emaar.
The company reports acquiring Rowad Modern Engineering Algeria in 2007, a majority of PGESCo in 2018, and Bioworks and Intech in 2019, and forming the YANMU logistics joint venture with Agility in 2023. It says the International Finance Corporation became a minority shareholder in 2016. In March 2024 it announced a regional headquarters in Riyadh after receiving a Saudi investment licence. Forbes Middle East reported that it acquired MetiPro, the engineering and construction arm of Metito Group, in April 2026.
Forbes Middle East reported revenue of $2.1 billion for 2025 and a backlog above $7.2 billion, and ranked the group fourth in its 2026 list of the region's top construction companies.
On 29 September 2026 the company announced that Grova Developments had awarded Hassan Allam Construction a USD 1 billion contract for the Grova Westfields development in West Cairo. In October 2026 it signed a memorandum of understanding with Galfar Engineering to explore opportunities in Oman.
