About Grove
Grove is a Riyadh-based agritech company that sells fresh produce under a consumer brand. It was founded in 2024 by Mohammed bin Ghanam and Ayman AlFifi, and it connects farms, distribution channels and households in Saudi Arabia. The company describes its approach as a vertically coordinated system rather than a loose collection of suppliers. Its stated aim is to build a demand-driven fresh produce supply chain, in which harvests are planned around what consumers actually buy and in which production, pricing and market access are aligned so that quality is rewarded. Grove sells to households under its own brand and manages the chain behind that brand, from farms through to distribution. In January 2026 Grove announced a seed round of USD 5 million led by Outliers VC. Angel investors took part in the round, and Bridge Middle East and MENA Startup Digest also named Madarat Investment as a participant. The announcement was carried by outlets including Wamda, Sharikat Mubasher, Bridge Middle East, Waya Media and The Source Code. Mohammed AlMeshekah, founder and general partner of Outliers VC, was quoted as saying that the team's ability to rethink the relationship between farmers and the market drew the firm to the company. The proceeds are intended to support Grove's expansion across Saudi Arabia. According to the funding announcement, Grove reports repeat-purchase rates of close to 48 percent and food waste of less than 5 percent. These are company-reported figures. One startup directory lists the company's headcount in the range of 11 to 50 employees. Coverage of the round also placed the company against the size of the Saudi agricultural sector, which it put at nearly USD 31.5 billion in 2025. The business operates against a regional background of heavy dependence on imported food. KAUST's innovation arm has noted that food imports account for about 90 percent of supply across the Gulf Cooperation Council states, a factor that has drawn venture investors to agritech in the region. Grove's coverage to date describes operations in Saudi Arabia only, where it is building its brand and supply network. Grove is at the seed stage, and the January 2026 round is the only funding event reported for the company so far. The founders, Mohammed bin Ghanam and Ayman AlFifi, are quoted as co-founders in the announcement materials.
