About GRO Solutions

GRO Solutions, which trades as GRO, is an AI-powered personal finance platform headquartered in Doha, Qatar. It positions its product as a judgement-free financial education companion. The platform studies an individual's spending and saving patterns and turns them into tailored guidance, from everyday budgeting to larger decisions such as buying a first car or taking on a family mortgage. It is aimed at adults and families, with parental-control features and financial literacy tools for children still in development. The company was founded in Doha in 2025 by chief executive Mariia Shevchenko together with Ukrainian and German co-founders. Shevchenko argues that traditional financial guidance is either too expensive or too unreliable, and that fintech now moves faster than any single advisor or university course can follow. She points to buy-now-pay-later credit, which has spread quickly across the GCC, as an area where many consumers were never taught responsible use. GRO also holds that regional financial habits, including family and religious considerations around money, call for a product built specifically for the Gulf rather than adapted from a Western model. GRO's route into Qatar began with the Qatar FinTech Hub, the incubator run by Qatar Development Bank. MENA Startup Digest reported that the company joined the programme in May 2025, and Qatar Living reported that it came through the seventh cohort and won a Best Pitch award. The founders first met local investors at Web Summit Qatar, and those contacts led them to make Doha the company's base. Shevchenko has said she plans to relocate to Qatar full time as the company enters its next growth phase, and has described the country as an emerging market with a still largely grassroots ecosystem, citing regulatory access and the community as reasons for the choice. In June 2026 GRO raised a USD 600,000 pre-seed round led by GrowthX Capital, the venture investor founded by Snoonu chief executive Hamad Al-Hajri. Euronews reported that Shevchenko and Al-Hajri signed the agreement in Doha on 11 June 2026. The investment was announced alongside the launch of GrowthX Capital's QAR 500 million (about USD 137 million) fund, which is meant to back high-growth startups over five years. The money is earmarked for expanding the team and developing family-focused features. Qatar Living reported that the product has opened early access for a beta and that the Doha team is growing. GRO has not published figures for users, revenue or headcount.
