About Golden Lattice Investment Company
Golden Lattice Investment Company, also referred to as Latis or GLIC, is a Saudi Arabian telecom tower company in which the Public Investment Fund holds a majority stake, according to Gulf News in April 2024. The deal-tracking site SignalBase gives its headcount as 350 and says it owns and operates more than 8,000 mobile tower sites in the Kingdom. TechScoop reported in July 2026 that the company held roughly 8,069 sites, about 60 percent of them macro towers.
On 22 April 2024 the Public Investment Fund and stc Group announced agreements to combine Golden Lattice with TAWAL, stc's tower company, in a new entity. Under them the fund agreed to buy 51 percent of TAWAL from stc at an enterprise value of USD 5.85 billion, and Golden Lattice's minority shareholders were to hold the remaining shares of the new company. Telecom Review reported that the combined business would have about 30,000 tower sites and annual revenue of around USD 1.3 billion.
stc said all procedures for the sale of its 51 percent stake in TAWAL were completed on 31 December 2024, and on 11 February 2025 it announced that TAWAL's ownership had been transferred to the new entity. Argaam reported cash consideration of SAR 8.9 billion after adjustments, and Enterprise reported that the Public Investment Fund then held 54.38 percent of the new entity, stc 43.06 percent and two minority shareholders 1.28 percent each, with a portfolio of about 30,000 towers across five countries.
TechScoop reported in July 2026 that the fund completed its acquisition of the TAWAL stake in February 2025 and merged those assets with Golden Lattice. No founding year, founders or current leadership for Golden Lattice were found in the sources read.
