About GFH Financial Group

GFH Financial Group is a Bahrain-based financial group. TradeArabia describes it as a regional financial group with interests in asset management and real estate, and its 2025 results report income from wealth and investment management, credit and financing, and treasury and proprietary activities. In February 2026 GFH said it managed about USD 23.63 billion in assets and funds across the Middle East and North Africa, Europe and North America, in sectors including logistics, healthcare, education and real estate.

According to Wikipedia, GFH was established in Bahrain in 1999 as Gulf Finance House under a licence from the Central Bank of Bahrain and took its current name in November 2014. Wikipedia lists its shares on the Bahrain Bourse and the Dubai Financial Market, names GFH Capital as a Dubai-based subsidiary and lists GFH as parent of the Bahraini Islamic bank Khaleeji Bank.

Abdulmohsen Rashed Al Rashed is chairman and Hisham Alrayes is chief executive, both named in GFH's results coverage in February 2026. Khaldoun Haj Hasan is chief executive of GFH Equities.

In November 2024 GFH signed definitive agreements to sell the Britus Education portfolio to the Saudi Education Fund, a USD 300 million vehicle launched by EFG Hermes. The portfolio comprises seven international schools, four in Saudi Arabia, two in the UAE and one in Bahrain, with capacity for about 12,000 students and nearly 8,000 enrolled at the time. The schools were held by private equity funds that GFH manages, the price was not disclosed, and the deal was subject to conditions and regulatory approvals.

For 2025, announced on 11 February 2026, GFH reported net profit attributable to shareholders of USD 140.11 million, up 18.2 percent from USD 118.50 million, on total income of USD 719.54 million. Total assets were USD 12.20 billion at 31 December 2025, against USD 11.03 billion a year earlier, and the board recommended a cash dividend of 10.11 percent of nominal value.
