About Fulgur Ventures

Fulgur Ventures is a venture and growth capital firm that invests in the Bitcoin economy. Its website describes a thesis built on Bitcoin as a fixed-supply, neutral monetary network and says the firm funds Bitcoin infrastructure anywhere in the world, from pre-seed to pre-IPO. The contact address on the site is in Wilmington, Delaware. A directory, altss.com, lists the firm as founded in 2019, and the site footer carries a copyright range beginning in 2019.

The team page names three people. Oleg Mikhalsky is a partner who has been an angel investor since 2008 and holds a master of business administration degree; in an interview with Brave New Coin he said he worked in cybersecurity at Kaspersky Labs for seven years and then in cloud software at Acronis from 2010. Alexander Mann is a partner who leads the firm's Asia Bitcoin efforts and has ten years of venture capital experience across Europe, the United States, Africa and Asia. Filippo Farenga is head of Bitcoin hubs, responsible for developing and operating Bitcoin hubs across Europe, Asia and the Americas.

Fulgur Asia is a regional arm headquartered in Singapore. According to the website, it writes pre-seed to Series A cheques into technical teams building Bitcoin infrastructure in the region between the Middle East and Australia.

The portfolio page lists 61 entries. They include Blockstream, a developer of Bitcoin protocol software, the Liquid Network and Lightning tools; Amboss, a Lightning analytics and liquidity business; Bitrefill, which sells gift cards for bitcoin; the self-custody wallet makers Casa and BlueWallet; Zebedee, which builds Lightning payments for games; and Utexo, a UAE-based infrastructure company for USDT payments on Bitcoin.

In March 2026 Fulgur Ventures took part in Utexo's USD 7.5 million seed round, which Tether led. In May 2026 Bitcoin Magazine reported that Fulgur led a USD 6.4 million round for Foundation, the maker of Bitcoin hardware wallets, with Arche Capital participating, bringing Foundation's total funding to USD 16.5 million. The firm does not publish fund sizes.
