About FlyNow Arabia Ltd.
FlyNow Arabia Limited is the Riyadh-based parent of the FlyNow group, which develops automated electric aircraft called eCopters for passenger transport, logistics, firefighting and medical support. Its global headquarters is at The Garage in Al Raed, Riyadh, and its engineering and certification work is done by FlyNow Aviation GmbH at Techno Z Science City in Salzburg, Austria.
The group's website says FlyNow was founded in Austria in 2019 to make electric air mobility simpler and cheaper to scale. FlyNow Arabia was established in Saudi Arabia in 2024. Yvonne Winter is chief executive of FlyNow Arabia and, according to Arab News, president of the Sky Alliance for Automated Air Mobility. The company describes itself as the first Saudi firm focused on developing and manufacturing flying taxis and cargo drones.
The eCopter flies automatically along predefined routes without a pilot on board. The company states that it carries up to two passengers or 200 kilograms of cargo, has a range of up to 50 kilometres and a top speed of 130 kilometres an hour, and produces about 55 decibels of noise. Announced variants are one- and two-seat models, a cargo version able to carry a standard Euro pallet, and firefighting and rescue models.
The site lists an operational authorisation under the SAIL II framework in 2022, 189 tethered flight tests completed in 2024 and the start of untethered flight testing in 2025. A photo caption on the site records a memorandum of understanding signed in May 2024 with the General Authority of Civil Aviation and the National Industrial Development Center. In 2026 FlyNow Arabia acquired a majority stake in FlyNow Aviation GmbH and moved the group headquarters to Riyadh. The stake size was not disclosed.
The company says eCopter flight testing will take place in Riyadh through the SALAAM.earth automated air mobility sandbox. TechScoop reported in September 2026 that cargo production is targeted for 2027 and public operations around Riyadh Expo 2030. No funding rounds, investors or financial results have been disclosed.
