About Fincart
Fincart is a Cairo-based company that provides an operating platform for online merchants in Egypt. It began as a platform connecting merchants to last-mile couriers and now describes itself as an AI-powered operating system for e-commerce. Merchants create single or bulk orders, choose a courier and track deliveries. Fincart's website describes a courier network of more than 30 partners, while the July 2026 funding announcement cites more than 40 courier companies and calls it the largest integrated network in Africa.
Mostafa Masry and Nihal Ali founded Fincart in 2023. Masry is chief executive and Ali is chief operating officer. Launch Africa's profile says Masry helped create more than 100,000 driver jobs at Careem and built a 10,000-vehicle fleet at Glovo, and that Ali spent more than six years in product management in digital payments and logistics.
The platform includes a courier marketplace, an integration hub for store channels, same-day delivery and international shipping to the Gulf, the United States, the United Kingdom and about 100 other destinations. It reconciles cash on delivery, offers daily or weekly settlements with a cash advance option, and arranges short-term cash advances against merchants' sales through partner fintechs; Masry has said Fincart acts as a data layer rather than a lender. Its website names Decathlon, Carina and In Your Shoe as clients.
At the time of the July 2026 announcement Fincart said it served more than 450 merchants and enterprise clients, had processed nearly EGP 1 billion in gross merchandise value and obtained about 40 percent of new clients through referrals.
Fincart closed an undisclosed pre-seed round led by Plus VC in January 2025, with Plug and Play, Orbit Startups and Jedar Capital participating. On 27 July 2026 it announced an oversubscribed USD 2.8 million seed round co-led by Launch Africa and Antler MENAP, with Yango Ventures, Five35 Ventures, Bluestream Capital, Hi2 Global and Kalahari Venture Labs. The company said it would use the money for its AI platform, its commercial and technology teams, and partnerships, and plans to enter new markets in 2027.
