About Emirates Gold
Emirates Gold is a gold and silver refinery and mint based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Its website lists refining, assaying, smelting, bullion trading, minting, precious stones separation and corporate gifting, and says the company has a history of about 30 years in manufacturing and trading precious metals. Wikipedia gives 1992 as its founding year and Dubai as its headquarters. The website gives the address as Al Sarayat Street, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai.
The company sells investment bars and coins, cast bars and granules, and build-your-own bars and coins, with bullion refined up to 999.9 purity, and makes custom coins and medals through its die-making and minting division. The website shows ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 10002 logos and UAE Good Delivery certificates.
In November 2024 Gulf News reported that Emirates Gold had been bought by Bright East Holding 1, an entity licensed in the Abu Dhabi Global Market that is active in venture capital and private equity. The deal value was not disclosed. Wikipedia dates the acquisition to September 2024. Gulf News also reported that Abhijit Shah had taken over as chief executive and that the refiner was back on the UAE Good Delivery List.
In an interview published in January 2025, Shah said he expected output to return to about one tonne of refining and two tonnes of smelting a day, with silver refining capacity of three tonnes. He said about half of the refined gold went to India or China and half stayed in the local market, and that the company planned to resume supplies to Switzerland and the United States, focus on Southeast Asia, launch coloured gold coins and build a blank-coin line for mints in Europe and the United States.
TechScoop reported in September 2026 that the personal-finance app Sav had struck a partnership with Emirates Gold; the terms were not described. No revenue, profit or funding figures were found.
