About Elmenus

Elmenus is an Egyptian food discovery and ordering platform connecting diners with restaurants. Its website and application allow people to explore dining choices and place delivery orders, combining the decision about what to eat with the transaction itself. Restaurant discovery can be organised by cuisine, area, mood or the name of a dish, making the service useful for both dining out and ordering at home.

The platform developed from digitised menus, photographs and recommendations into an online ordering business. Personalised dish-level suggestions help users navigate available choices, while order tracking provides visibility after a purchase. The service also gives restaurants a digital route to customers who would otherwise rely on telephone ordering or individual restaurant channels.

Amir Allam founded Elmenus in 2011. In February 2020, the company announced an $8 million Series B investment led by Global Ventures and Algebra Ventures, following an earlier Series A. The financing supported the growth of its ordering operation and delivery capability in Egypt. Elmenus combines food content, customer recommendations and fulfilment-related tools in one consumer platform, connecting restaurant discovery with the practical process of ordering a meal.
