The group has four brands: Dürr (automotive painting, final assembly and battery electrode lines), HOMAG (woodworking), BBS Automation (assembly and test automation) and Schenck (balancing technology).
The website cites 130 years of experience, and Wikipedia reports that Paul Dürr founded it as a metal workshop in Bad Cannstatt, listed it in Frankfurt in 1990 and bought a majority of HOMAG Group in 2014. In Saudi Arabia, Dürr said in January 2026 that it is installing its first complete Paint Shop of the Future for Ceer at the manufacturing complex in King Abdullah Economic City, with production due to start in the fourth quarter of 2026. The 2025 annual report attributes part of the growth in Asia outside China, Africa and Australia to Saudi Arabia, including a major order.
For 2025 the group reported sales of EUR 4,168.4 million from continuing operations, down from EUR 4,290.9 million, and a loss after tax of EUR 50.0 million from continuing operations after impairments.
