About Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group
Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group, also known as HMG, is a Riyadh-based private healthcare company. Forbes describes it as a hospital group that runs hospitals and clinics in several Saudi cities as well as Dubai and Bahrain, together with a pharmacy chain and specialty centres for fertility, dermatology, plastic surgery and obesity treatment. TechScoop reports that the group is organised in three segments: hospitals, pharmacies, and a solutions arm that covers home healthcare, third-party facility management, and IT and cloud services.
The pediatrician Dr Sulaiman Al Habib founded the group in 1995, according to Forbes and TechScoop. Forbes reports that he trained in medicine at King Saud University and headed the pediatrics department at the Security Forces Hospital in Riyadh in the late 1980s. The group's shares have traded on the Saudi stock exchange since 2020, and Forbes and TechScoop both put his holding at about 40 percent.
The group's website lists four solutions businesses: MD Lab for laboratory testing, Cloud Solutions for IT services in Saudi Arabia, Flow Medical Solutions for integrated healthcare technologies, and Taswyat for revenue cycle management. It names plastic surgery, orthopedic surgery and ophthalmology among its centres of excellence.
TechScoop reported on 27 July 2026 that the group added around 2,000 hospital beds across new facilities in 2024 and 2025 and that management described these hospitals as in a ramp-up phase. It also approved two integrated hospital projects in Riyadh and Dammam in late 2025, with a combined value of nearly SAR 1.97 billion. For the first half of 2026 TechScoop reported revenue of about SAR 7.4 billion, up roughly 13 percent from about SAR 6.54 billion a year earlier, and net profit of about SAR 1.17 billion.
