About Digital Centers for Data and Telecommunications Company
center3 is the digital infrastructure company of stc Group, the Saudi telecom operator, and is headquartered in Riyadh. TechScoop gives its formal name as the Digital Centers for Data and Telecommunications Company. It offers carrier-neutral data centres, international connectivity, internet exchange and subsea cable landing. Its website names data centre locations in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam.
In 2020 stc announced a digital hub for the Middle East and North Africa under the project name MENAHub, which became center3 as an independent entity. stc Group inaugurated center3 in October 2022, when it said the company would take over the group's data centres, subsea cables, international points of presence and internet exchange points. Fahad AlHajeri has been chief executive since the launch. The leadership page lists Ibraheem Alfuaim as chief financial officer and Mohammed Alabbadi as chairman.
The website names no individual customers; its target market is hyperscalers, content and cloud providers and international carriers.
In June 2024 center3 announced the completion of its acquisition of 100 percent of CMC Networks Mauritius and 49 percent of CMC Networks South Africa from the Carlyle Sub-Saharan Africa Fund; terms were not disclosed. In November 2025 it formed a colocation partnership with Sahara Net, and in January 2026 IDC placed it in the Leaders category of its Gulf colocation MarketScape.
In December 2025 stc signed a memorandum of understanding with HUMAIN for an AI data centre joint venture through center3, 51 percent owned by HUMAIN and 49 percent by stc, aiming for up to 1 gigawatt. It was extended by six months, according to a Tadawul filing reported in June 2026. At LEAP in September 2026 center3 announced a data centre development partnership with the Saudi Electricity Project Development Company.
center3 is a wholly owned subsidiary of stc Group, and no standalone financial statements were found. TechScoop reported in September 2026 that center3 operates in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain and had invested about $3 billion, with a further $10 billion planned. stc said it would begin with 250 megawatts of AI-ready capacity, with a path to 1 gigawatt with HUMAIN.
