About Deal App
Deal App is a Saudi proptech company, headquartered in Riyadh, that runs a marketplace connecting people who want to buy, rent or invest in property with real estate brokers. Instead of browsing listings, a seeker posts a request stating the request type, property type and city, and brokers then contact them with offers. The platform's website says this is free for the person making the request. Brokers and offices have their own accounts, and a user can switch an account between broker and property-seeker roles.
The site organises property by city and lists Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Khobar, Makkah, Madinah, Buraydah, Taif, Abha, Al-Ahsa, Jubail and Khamis Mushait. It covers apartments, villas and land for sale and rent, and offers messaging and notifications inside the app.
Wamda and other regional outlets reported that the company was founded in 2019 by Salah Alswidan, Abdullah Al Abbad and Mohamed Al Shalan, with Alswidan (also spelled Al-Suwaidan) serving as chief executive. In February 2022 Deal App raised about US$2.24 million in a pre-Series A round. Reported participants were Alsoliman Real Estate, Wallan Group, Salem Balhamer Real Estate, AlThuraya AlOmrania Properties, Kenaya and angel investors. CB Insights lists the same amount as the company's total funding.
At the time of the round, the company said it had handled more than 100,000 real estate requests, with over 20,000 agents on the platform across more than 100 cities in Saudi Arabia. Argaam published an interview in which the CEO said the company would be ready for a listing on the Nomu parallel market after several funding rounds; the article's headline is the only detail used here.
Deal App operates only in Saudi Arabia. No funding round after February 2022 appeared in the public record reviewed.
