About Charikaty
Charikaty is a Moroccan legal technology company that lets entrepreneurs create and manage companies online. Its website describes it as a private service not affiliated with any public administration, and says its team of 12 lawyers and accountants is based in Casablanca and Rabat.
The company was founded in 2024 by Amr Mouaqit, chief executive, and Driss Sijelmassi, chief operating officer. Cairoscene reported that Mouaqit studied law in the United Kingdom and worked at law firms. Morocco World News reported that the company joined the first batch of the Plug and Play and Technopark Morocco Accelerator.
Charikaty handles the incorporation of SARL, SARL AU and SAS companies and of subsidiaries of foreign companies, together with domiciliation and trademark filing. Its website, read in October 2026, lists three packages priced from 4,550 to 9,890 Moroccan dirhams including official fees, and shows amendments, accounting and dissolution as coming soon. Cairoscene also listed registered agent and virtual address services and a marketplace of legal templates.
In February 2026 Charikaty raised MAD 1.5 million, about USD 150,000, from Ilan Benhaim, co-founder of Veepee, and Karim Amor, president of MeM by CGEM, on the 2M television programme Qui Veut Investir Dans Mon Projet. On 5 July 2026 it announced a fully remote offering for Moroccans residing abroad.
In September 2026 the company closed a pre-seed round at a valuation of EUR 3 million; the amount raised was not disclosed. Morocco World News named Red Tape Ventures of Dubai, Faris Al-Obaid of Mastercard Kuwait and the Saudi footballer Faris Abdi among the investors, alongside others who were not named.
The company said the funds would launch two ventures and widen its accounting and compliance offering. One is Webaty, a website service launched in September that promises a first version within 72 hours. The other is an accounting venture built around Morocco's incoming e-invoicing rules. Charikaty plans to take accounting to Egypt and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and Cairoscene reported a goal of three to four countries by 2030.
