About CE Ventures

CE-Ventures is the venture capital arm of Crescent Enterprises, a UAE-based business group that Wikipedia says is headquartered in Sharjah and is a subsidiary of the Crescent Group, which has operated in the region since 1971. Global Venturing reports that Crescent Enterprises launched it in 2017. It invests in early-stage and growth-stage companies: Tushar Singhvi told Gulf News in January 2023 that it backs early-stage companies in the Middle East and North Africa and India, and looks at Southeast Asia, while its mid-stage growth investing is focused on the United States.

Singhvi, deputy chief executive and head of investments at Crescent Enterprises, oversees CE-Ventures. Sudarshan Pareek heads the unit. Global Venturing named him one of its 50 Emerging Leaders in corporate venturing for 2025 and reported in March 2025 that he began his career in energy infrastructure investing and moved into venture capital in 2017.

Gulf News reported that the unit was first seeded with USD 150 million, deployed over about two years, and later received a further USD 150 million allocation that included a separate pool for biotech and deep technology. By January 2023 it had deployed about USD 300 million. Singhvi said its past investments covered foodtech, fintech and edtech and that it takes a long-term approach to exits, selling when it judges value has peaked rather than within a fixed period.

Global Venturing lists FreshtoHome, an online fresh meat and seafood retailer and the first investment Pareek led, among its holdings, together with Endeavor BioMedicines, Transcorp, Mobile Premier League and LayerZero. Pareek said his focus includes growing the UAE start-up sector, especially deep technology, and applying artificial intelligence to utilities and infrastructure.

TechScoop reported in April 2026 that CE Ventures is among the partners contributing to a non-repayable resilience fund for small businesses that Sheraa aims to raise, with a target of up to AED 5 million.
