About BRKZ
BRKZ is a Riyadh-based construction-technology company that runs a managed digital marketplace for building materials. It connects contractors and factories with suppliers of products such as cement, steel and finishing materials, and adds logistics, buy-now-pay-later style trade credit and other embedded financing. Contractors can collect several supplier quotes within minutes and arrange financing that matches project cash flows, addressing slow payment cycles and fragmented supplier networks in construction sourcing.
The company was founded by Ibrahim Manna, its chief executive, after about eight years at ride-hailing company Careem, where he served as managing director and led launches in 11 markets.
BRKZ's scale has been reported at several points. Around its 2025 Series A it offered more than 7,000 SKUs from over 1,100 suppliers. Later reporting put the platform at more than 1,300 suppliers and over 7,500 SKUs, with SAR 3.14 billion, about USD 837 million, in requests for quotations processed over a year and more than 850 construction firms and factories onboarded across Saudi Arabia. Coverage of its 2026 strategic investment cited about 1,600 suppliers, more than 7,300 SKUs and over 350 SME customers.
In March 2024 BRKZ raised an USD 8 million Series A tranche co-led by 9900 Capital and BECO Capital, which Wamda said brought total funding to USD 13.55 million. A second USD 8 million tranche closed in January 2025, and together with USD 1 million of venture debt from Capifly the Series A reached USD 17 million, announced in February 2025. Total funding then stood at USD 22.5 million. Participating investors included BECO Capital, Aramco's Wa'ed Ventures, 9900 Capital, Better Tomorrow Ventures, RZM Investment, Class 5 Global, MISY Ventures, Knollwood Investment Advisory and Fluent Ventures. Manna said the money would support technology development, the pay-later offering and cross-border trading.
In October 2025 BRKZ secured up to USD 30 million in growth debt from India-based Stride Ventures to expand financing for factories and contractors, one of the largest non-equity financings for a Saudi startup that year. Stride, which described BRKZ as a strategic anchor in its GCC portfolio, has said it plans to deploy USD 500 million across the Middle East by 2026. The debt is intended to fund AI-driven procurement tools, deeper embedded finance and sourcing from Asia and India.
In April 2026 the Saudi Industrial Investment Company, the investment arm of the Saudi Industrial Development Fund, made a direct strategic investment of undisclosed size. It is meant to support BRKZ's shift from a procurement platform to an industrial supply-chain enabler combining AI, cloud manufacturing and financing, in line with Vision 2030 goals for industrial digitalisation and the kingdom's construction pipeline.
