About Brevan Howard Digital
Brevan Howard Digital, also called BH Digital, is the digital asset management division of Brevan Howard, a hedge fund manager founded in 2002. Brevan Howard says the division gives institutional investors access to investment opportunities across the digital asset and blockchain sector, uses a multi-strategy approach and an evergreen structure, and offers value-add services to the founders it backs. Its LinkedIn page gives its headquarters as Austin, Texas.
Cointelegraph, citing Reuters, reported on 13 September 2021 that Brevan Howard was launching BH Digital after planning in April 2021 to allocate 1.5 percent of its Master Fund, about 84 million US dollars, to crypto. The firm hired Colleen Sullivan, previously chief executive of CMT Digital, to lead private and venture crypto investments and to chair the investment committee. The Block reports that the vehicle began trading in March 2022. Aron Landy is named as chief executive on the BH Digital page; Cointelegraph says he has led Brevan Howard since co-founder Alan Howard stepped down in 2019.
The BH Digital page lists eight offices: Austin, London, Jersey, Geneva, New York, Singapore, Abu Dhabi and Bengaluru. The page states that Brevan Howard Capital Management LP is a member of the US National Futures Association, which does not oversee spot virtual currency markets.
Bloomberg, as reported by The Block in April 2024, put the fund's assets at 1.7 billion dollars, with a 34.5 percent return in the first quarter of 2024, 44 percent in 2023, a loss in 2022 and a cumulative 51 percent since March 2022. In April 2024 BH Digital and Galaxy Digital committed 20 million dollars to the crypto accelerator Alliance Fund III, which aims to invest 500,000 dollars per startup.
TechScoop reported on 5 August 2026 that Brevan Howard Digital gave follow-on support to Soter Insure in a Series B led by Galaxy Digital, which also included Coinbase Ventures and Franklin Templeton. Brevan Howard's website lists digital assets as one of its two specialisms, with global macro. No assets figure newer than April 2024 was found.
