About Bonflite

Bonflite is an Ireland-based travel technology company developing a digital commerce platform for duty-free shopping. It connects the customer access and distribution capabilities of airlines with the merchandise selection and retail operations of airport duty-free businesses. Passengers can purchase goods at different stages of their journey and arrange collection beyond the limited window of shopping at an airport or onboard an aircraft.

The platform addresses several practical constraints in traditional inflight retail. Airlines often have limited onboard catalogues and must transport stock that may remain unsold. Airport retailers, meanwhile, need channels that reach passengers before they enter a terminal. Bonflite brings these participants into a shared digital shopping experience, extending the opportunities to browse and buy across the itinerary. For passengers, the service is designed to reduce dependence on spare time at the airport.

Bonflite participated in Intelak’s fifth cohort, which focused on aviation and travel innovation. The company is headquartered in Dublin and its leadership includes chief executive Hongbo Sun, chief operating officer John Yashi Li and chief technology officer Paschal Nee, each identified as a co-founder. Its offering sits at the intersection of airline ancillary revenue, travel retail and ecommerce infrastructure.
