About Bayut
Bayut is a property portal based in Dubai. Dubizzle Group describes it as a real estate portal that leads in the United Arab Emirates and is growing in Saudi Arabia, other Gulf countries, Egypt and Jordan.
Entrepreneur Middle East reported in November 2025 that Bayut was founded in the UAE in 2008 as a small startup in Dubai Internet City; the article does not name its founders. Haider Ali Khan is chief executive of Bayut and dubizzle and of Dubizzle Group MENA. He studied electrical engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, worked for more than 14 years in the United States at firms including Goldman Sachs, Silicon Labs and National Instruments, and moved to Dubai in 2014.
The article describes TruCheck, which validates listings against real-time availability, TruBroker, an agent ranking system, and TruEstimate, an AI property valuation engine trained on UAE transactions. It names the Dubai Land Department and the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre as partners. Dubizzle Group's news list also records a Bayut property search app on ChatGPT in the UAE.
Bayut belongs to Dubizzle Group, whose other businesses include the dubizzle classifieds platform, the Egyptian autos platform Hatla2ee and the UAE market data provider Property Monitor. The group's timeline records its acquisition of OLX Group MENA in 2020, DriveArabia in 2024 and Property Monitor in 2025. In July 2026 the group took a stake in the rental protection platform Takeem, and Bayut and dubizzle became the exclusive home for its rent guarantee product, TechScoop reported. TechScoop also reported in June 2026 that the group's investment in the rental payments platform Tern would be integrated exclusively into Bayut and dubizzle.
Funding is reported at group level. Dubizzle Group says it raised a Series E of $200 million in 2022 led by Affinity Partners and raised $150 million in 2020 at a $1 billion valuation. Entrepreneur Middle East put the group at more than 18 million monthly active users and 2,600 employees across ten countries in November 2025.
