About Aviapartner
Aviapartner is a Belgian ground-handling group that serves airlines, airports and cargo and private aviation customers at airports in Europe and Africa. Its website describes it as an independent provider of airport ground handling and lists airports in ten countries: Angola, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, South Africa and Spain. The holding company, Aviapartner Holding NV, is based at Brussels Airport in Zaventem.
According to Wikipedia, the business began in Antwerp in 1949 and expanded to Ostend in 1957, Liège in 1965 and Brussels in 1970. It began expanding abroad in the 1990s, was renamed Aviapartner in 1999, and took over Servisair's operations in Rotterdam in 2002, Aero Groundservices in Amsterdam in 2007 and SAT in Bordeaux and La Rochelle in 2010.
Aviapartner is privately held. Its 2025 sustainability report names Laurent Levaux as owner and executive chairman and the only member of the holding company's board, and Richard Prince as chief executive officer. Prince has over 25 years in aviation and services, including senior roles at Etihad Airport Services and Swissport UK.
The report groups its activities into four domains: ground handling for airlines, cargo handling, private aviation services and passenger lounges. The report says the group has supported the UN Global Compact since 2021. Its ISO 45001 occupational health and safety certification covers selected stations in Belgium, France, Italy and Spain, and its headquarters and over thirty European stations outside Germany are registered with the IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations. The International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling is certified in Belgium, the Netherlands and selected private aviation stations in France and Spain.
The report states that Aviapartner had 9,349 employees on payroll and net revenues of approximately EUR 747 million at the end of 2025.
In March 2026 the group's Belgian entities agreed to sell Aviapartner Liège SA, its cargo and ramp-handling business at Liège Airport, to SAL Saudi Logistics Services. SAL announced completion in early August 2026 at a price of about SAR 120 million, or EUR 28 million. Aviapartner continues to operate at its other airports.
