About APICO

Arabian Plastic Industrial Co., known as APICO, is a Saudi plastics manufacturer based in Jeddah. Argaam lists its shares on Nomu, the parallel market of the Saudi exchange, under the code 9548, in the Materials sector. The company says it was established in 1996 in Jeddah as part of the Balubaid Group, a Saudi conglomerate it traces to 1952, and describes itself as a subsidiary of that group.

APICO's website lists four manufacturing activities: film production, covering flexible films and bags for shopping and industrial packaging; blow molding of bottles and containers for lubricant, industrial and consumer uses; injection molding of parts made to a customer's specification; and thermoforming for packaging. The first plant opened in Jeddah in 1996 and had been expanded by 2014, and a facility in the central region opened in 2024. The website names Venugopal T.K. as chief executive and Salamah AlQatarneh as finance director.

In a statement to the Saudi exchange reported by Argaam on 13 April 2023, APICO announced a memorandum of understanding with PAFT Middle East FZ-LLC under which it would produce plastic pallets in Saudi Arabia and explore supplying them, as part of supply chain solutions. The memorandum ran for 12 months and was renewable by mutual agreement, and APICO said no related parties were involved.

In February 2025 Ceer, the Saudi electric vehicle brand, announced 11 new partnerships worth about SAR 5.5 billion at the PIF Private Sector Forum. Ceer's release says APICO signed a supply agreement for blow parts, while Argaam reports that the value of the APICO agreement was not given. TechScoop's September 2026 report on Ceer's planned vehicle premiere lists APICO among the Saudi groups named as Ceer partners.
