About Anees Health
Anees Health is a clinician-led home healthcare company in Egypt, founded in 2025 and based in Cairo. Its clinical model is built on geriatric medicine, with family medicine coordinating other specialties, and it serves older adults, people with chronic disease, rehabilitation patients and longevity programme clients.
Dr. Mahmoud Darwish is co-founder and chief executive. One report also names Dr. Ahmed Oraby, spelled Orabi by TechScoop, as co-founder and chief strategy and growth officer. Ibrahim Anwar, an entrepreneur with more than 15 years in business development, joined as an adviser around the seed round. The company says it began because families were coordinating home care through messaging apps, clinic waitlists and shared folders.
Anees Health delivers doctor home visits, nursing, physiotherapy, home laboratory tests, elderly care, post-operative care and telemedicine. Staff work from one medical record, and each case has one named physician. The website lists four care packages: Sanad, for a dedicated doctor and shared medical profile; Haraka, for joint and chronic pain; Wa'i, for cognitive decline; and Amal, for stroke recovery. It operates across Greater Cairo, including Maadi, Zamalek, New Cairo, Sheikh Zayed, 6th of October, Heliopolis, Nasr City and Mohandessin, and says it plans to expand across the Middle East and North Africa.
The company built its own electronic health record on the HL7 FHIR standard, with documentation in Arabic and English. Its about page names Andalusia, Cleopatra and Cairo University among more than 20 partners, and says cases escalate to hospital partners when needed.
Anees Health announced a seed round on 21 September 2026. The amount and the investors were not disclosed. The company said the money would expand its geriatric and care-coordination teams, build clinical and operating infrastructure, widen coverage in Greater Cairo and strengthen coordination with partner hospitals after discharge. It reported delivering more than 1,000 medical and care services since 2025, mostly through patient referrals, with about 70 percent of patients continuing on extended care plans after a first visit, and it is targeting more than 20,000 visits in 2027. These figures are the company's own.
